Growing Alliances, Music and Wear

Well : ) It was a nice day. Had a good sleep and got up and helped James with some promotional materials for Cultivating Alliances, nearly ready to post hither and thither online for max benefit.

LIstening to Andreas Scholl Vivaldi's Stabat Mater ... sublime : )  Love it : )

Bought some recorder music from eBay and a descant recorder!! lol Looking forward to playing and practising for a small recital for Church sometime : )  Got some transcriptions of the Bach cello suites ... wonder if I had them before? Maybe ... ?  Oh well, if so it just means I'll already be able to play them.  Also got a few other things.  Will let you know, blog, what they are when I get them! lol

Also arrived today : some lovely soft maroon fabric ... really, really looking forward to drawing a good skirt pattern : will try at next Wednesday's dressmaking class.

An extremely quiet day

Haha well it's like 12.20 in the morning and all's fine in the house.  Just had a nice day surfing net and later fell asleep watching a programme about Medieval Britain with James and Daisy the cat.  Daisy's sleeping at my feet now, the ideal bedcat.

Off now to have some tea, I think!

Carrot and Coriander Soup, Yum

Hmmm, well it's like 3 in the morning again and I just woke up.  Had some delicious carrot and coriander soup and looked it up on the net to see how to make it because it's amazing stuff, and it seems easy. Going to try.

Went to dressmaking and tailoring class today and, apart from being the most gossipy class I've ever been in, it was great and got started on my Medieval hood with liripipe.  Seems fairly straightforward so far.  Wonder if waterproof interfacing exists?

Had funny symptoms tonight when I got back which I never had before in my life : numb left hand and then numb left side of tongue, both of which passed within minutes, followed by a headache, more persistent.  Wonder what it could be?

Feeling fine now, though.

HK and Chinese Food

Just had dumplings with sauce of soy sauce, green chilli, chilli oil and sugar, yum. Only 3 left then, all gone now! Time to go to Chinese supermarket ... Food you can get there is cheaper and lasts about 6 times longer than food from Tesco or Asda.

Been reading some blogs.  Following again Calvin : My Journey. Very interesting blog. Nice to see Hong Kong and the airplane food.  If I had money, I would visit HK, Malaysia, etc. again.  Really liked HK - especially the food! Yum.

Disrupted sleeping hours ...

It's 02.17, no matter what the title says.  Woke up and ate bread and raspberry jam with Earl Grey tea and going to have a smoke.
